1.1. 2024 Property Tours Guidelines
General Guidelines
- Tours will be held the second Wednesday of the month starting at 9:00 AM at the first property address.
- Tours will rotate by geographic area.
- Up to 8 residential properties will be selected, with 2 additional properties selected as backups.
Listing Eligibility
- “Property Tours” is for Residential properties only.
- Rental properties are not eligible.
- Properties must be active in the Highland Lakes MLS at the time of entry.
- Only Primary and Secondary HLAoR members may have properties on the tour.
- MLS-Only Subscribers are not eligible.
- Only one property is allowed per listing agent.
- Exceptions: If the current tour is not full, a listing may be accepted as a backup.
- Notices of backups will be announced prior to the tour.
How to Add Your Listing to the Tour
A sign-up email will be sent from propertytours@highlandlakesrealtors.com, stating that sign-ups are now available.
- Members will receive a link to enter their listing into the drawing.
- The link will direct members to a form to complete.
- Emailed requests will not be eligible.
- Note: propertytours@highlandlakesrealtors.com does not accept inbound emails.
- The link will direct members to a form to complete.
- If selected, you will receive an email that your property has been selected.
- You must confirm with the instructions provided.
How Listings are Selected
- Properties are selected via lottery, and all communications will be sent via email from propertytours@highlandlakesrealtors.com.
Agent Requirements
Listing Agents of Selected Properties must do the following:
- If selected, you must confirm that your property will be available for the tour.
- Instructions will be provided via email.
- The listing agent or another agent from their brokerage must be present for the entire Property Tour.
- Be at the first property by 8:45 and ready to talk about your property to the group.
- Must supply property information sheets.
Property Tours Communications/Announcements
The board office will email the following announcements:
- Announcement of upcoming area, and thank you to those who participated in the prior tour.
- Announcement that Sign-Ups are open.
- Announcement of selected properties to everyone who applied.
- Announcement of the finalized tour route.
Tour Details
- A Captain will be assigned to each tour and will assist with any questions regarding the current tour.
- The HLAoR Property Tours Committee will provide feedback forms/pens at the first property.
- We suggest carpooling, and a central location will be announced prior to each tour.
- Rotating HLAoR Affiliate Sponsors will provide a quick/light breakfast at the first home starting at 8:45AM and will also provide a prize drawing at the last home.
- Members must attend each tour to be eligible for the prize drawing.
- Bring your business cards to be entered in the drawing!
- Alternates (back-up properties) will be given a brief opportunity (2 minutes) to present/describe their listings at the first property.
